To Parents

The Suzuki approach to music involves you. Attending lessons with your child, practicing together daily, giving enthusiastic encouragement, creating a musical environment in your home-you will be undertaking all of these when you embark on a Suzuki piano education for your child .

Before enrolling your child for lessons, you will attend an educational talk on the Suzuki method. Because this approach to learning piano relies on family involvement, the Suzuki Piano School of South Florida wants you to thoroughly understand your role in the process. Call the School for the time and location of the next scheduled talk.

You will also be bringing your child to listen to other children's lessons. This quiet observation creates within your child the desire to learn. Observing lessons will continue throughout the Suzuki training.

Your Suzuki teacher not only will teach your child, but will show you how to teach your child as well. By attending and recording the lessons, you will be prepared to work daily with your child.

Your willingness to devote regular time to your child's musical education and to work closely with the teacher is vital to the Suzuki approach-and to your child's growth and development.
